Clara Chiu is an award-winning Hong Konger-Australian abstract photographic artist based in Sydney, Australia. She captures water's shifting beauty through bold abstraction, evoking healing and transformation while blurring reality with imagination.

“Since my artistic direction has evolved to capture the forms of water and create abstract images inspired by them, I sought a name that would reflect this vision. “Jōzen”("上善") is derived from the Japanese phrase “上善若水” (pronounced jōzen wa mizu no gotoshi), originating from the Tao Te Ching (道德經) by the ancient Chinese philosopher Laozi. This phrase translates to “the highest good is like water.” - Clara Chiu
